Wedding Light

Amanda Dinkel

I met Ashley in my first grad school class, however I barely knew her until we ended up in the same Composition Theory class. We bonded over our love of animals and travel which resulted in her joining me on three major trips abroad. I could not ask for a better friend and travel buddy.

It was an honor to be asked to photograph her wedding. I feel that when you know your photographer, you feel more at ease in front of her and her camera. Ashley and Eric seemed very comfortable with each picture we composed.

We also lucked out completely with the lighting. The forecast was predicting rain, but we only had it fifteen minutes before the ceremony. We had perfect cloudy light for most of the portraits, sun streaming in on the dance floor, and at sunset, the sun lined up perfectly for one of my favorite shots of the evening. I could not have asked for better conditions…except maybe a little less wind!

Enjoy this peek into the wedding of Ashley and Eric!
